Experience Sharing on CIOB(HK)'s "Construction Manager of the Year Awards 2008"

Hong Kong Institute of Project Management jointly organized with Hong Kong Institute of Architect and American Institute of Architect a seminar on "Innovative Solutions for an Extremely Fast Track Programme". Ir Vincent Yuen, HKIPM Council Member, was invited to share his valuable experience on handling the Venetian Resort project in Macau. The seminar was well received.

AIPM International Conference
Mr. Francis Chan, President of HKIPM, was invited to attend the International Project Management Conference. The Conference was organized by the Australian Institute of Project Management and was held in Adelaide, Australia from 11th to 14th October 2009. About 600 project management professionals and experts from other cities of Australia and overseas have participated. The Conference covered varies topics of key note presentations, concurrent sessions of talks, workshops and exhibition.
Dr. Tony Ma, HKIPM Convener (Overseas), delivered a talk on "Does Project Management Office (PMO) Have a Place in China?" at the occasion.

Mr. Francis Chan, President of the HKIPM and Dr. Mei-yung Leung, Chairlady of the CPD & Education Committee of HKIPM, were invited to present 2 seminars named: "Key to Effective Project Management" and "Introduction of Value Management" respectively on 26th September 2009 by the Paul-Y Management Limited. The seminars cover board project management practices such as communication skills and emotional response, and the basic logical team decision-making process in the value management for construction projects. There was over 60 managers participated. All of them really enjoyed it very much.
