Employed worldwide as a business expedient for dramatic performance improvement, it is rapidly gaining widespread status in South East Asia, especially in the construction industry in Hong Kong and China. With China heading towards about of the World Trade Organization (WTO), demand for competent project managers is mounting in the region.
The Hong Kong Institute of Project Management (HKIPM) was founded in 2003 by a group of volunteers who have substantial and extensive experience in the project and real estates industries. Its aims are to represent and formally recognize project management practitioners in Hong Kong, Macau and China, and to establish a regular discussion forum to provide sustainable development. HKIPM is a non-profit making organization registered under the Hong Kong SAR Government and governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
